About the store
My entire educational journey as a student and teacher has been centered around guiding children to learn through exploration and hands on experiences. I have always valued the idea of inquiry-based instruction and problem solving. The greatest accomplishment I have was earning my Ed.D in Leadership and I hope to use my experiences to further the field of STEM Education in and outside of the classroom for young learners and their teachers.

About the store

Experience

My entire educational journey as a student and teacher has been centered around guiding children to learn through exploration and hands on experiences. I have always valued the idea of inquiry-based instruction and problem solving. The greatest accomplishment I have was earning my Ed.D in Leadership and I hope to use my experiences to further the field of STEM Education in and outside of the classroom for young learners and their teachers.

Teaching style

I teach my students to learn how to fail before they succeed. In failure there is growth and character development. Learning to never give up, because there is always a solution (that just sometimes has not yet been found), is one of my core values as an educator.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have a lot of experience teaching children from all over the world. I have taught in schools that value a multi-cultural approach to education and at military institutions for the department of defense. My favorite position as an educator was in Okinawa, Japan.

My own education history

I have a Bachelors of Science in Elementary and Kindergaden Education from the University of Pennsylvania (Penn State). I earned my Masters of Education in Instructional Design and Technology, while teaching in Japan. I then completed my Doctorate of Education in Leadership and STEM Education.

Additional biographical information

I value my experiences as an educator but I have grown most in life from becoming a mother. Watching my own children grow and researching child brain development has been a fascinating adventure. I strive to use all of my unique experiences as an educator, student, and mother to build high quality materials for others to benefit from.
