They will learn about the geography, animals, symbols, landmarks, traditions and customs that make our country so unique. We also feel it is incredibly important for our students to be exposed to the different communities that exist all around the world. Therefore, this project will be giving them an opportunity to research, learn and teach their classmates all about a different country and what makes it special.
This quiz is designed to assess students on their ability to choose the correct estimate for metric or customary length as well as their ability to complete basic conversions. It is a Google Form and simple to assign in Google Classroom.
Third grade students learn about numerical patterns and rules. This quiz assesses knowledge of function tables. This weekly behavior report is distributed to students every Friday. I use a clipboard in my classroom to keep track of student behaviors on a daily basis (both positive and negative). For each negative behavior in a given day children lose $5. They have an opportunity to earn $20 a day for positive behaviors. Students are assessed on division problems with and without remainders. They are required to choose a strategy to solve each question (make an array, deal it out, or show a related multiplication fact). There is also a division with remainders word problem for them to solve using the CUBE strategy (circle important numbers, underline the question, box key words, and write an equation/evaluate.
