This is a homework calendar geared towards kindergarten (EL students especially). It starts with VERY basic activities for the beginning of the school year and then gets into more difficult activities. This is to be sent home at the beginning of each month and kept in the students folder to work on each night. It has three weeks in August and goes through the end of April. It is not editable since it is a PDF.

This is a poweroint for K, 1st, and 2nd grades that focuses on the terms shorter, shortest, longer, and longest. It is interactive meaning it has questions for the students to figure out which object is longer or the shortest.
These 2 graphing worksheet will help your students with tally marks, reading word problems, using a bar graph and the terms greatest and least. The first sheet the tally marks are provided on a chart and the students have to graph the votes and answer questions. One the second sheet, the students will read a word problem and add the tally marks themselves, then graph and answer questions. This would go great with your zoo theme lessons.
This is a CVC phonics center. The middle vowel sound is already provided. The student will insert the beginning letter and ending letter by sounding out the word. It has 2 versions one with only the middle sound provided and one with the beginning and middle sound provided for differentiation.
You can have the student fill out the first page using markers, dry erase markers, or stamps.

English Language Arts, Phonics & Phonological Awareness
This is a center where students will practice their reading skills and their math skills. Number words, sight words, and positional words are used in this center. Students will pick which sentence describes the picture. For extension, students can write the sentence on the answer sheet for teacher review.
Cut and laminate this center and use with clothes pins or dry erase markers for choosing the correct sentence.
This is a subtraction flunecy test I use with my kindergarten kids. It's 10 problems and I give them 2 minutes to complete it. We practice with dry erase markers throughout the week and then test. As they get better I take away some time to increase fluency. This sheet has the same problems on both sides to decrease the amount of copies needed.
This can be used in guided reading, as center, or a quick formative assessment. It has 2 pages of Elkonin boxes with pictures for the students to put the first sound, and 2 pages with the first and last sound missing.You can laminate and use dry erase markers or letter tiles to work with the students.

This is a quick center or partner work that focuses on CVC words and their ending sound. It can be used with letter tiles, magnets, or you could use letter stamps on the writing sheet.
It is 3 pages, 2 pages of cards (12 cards total) with one page for the student to write the word or stamp the word. Laminate the cards and you have a quick center. It works well with EL students too.

This is a great start to any day. It has morning work for Monday- Thursday for 2nd graders with Friday left as a free choice or morning assembly day. It is meant to be put on the board and students write it down in their notebooks or on dry erae boards each morning to save time copying.
