About the store

I have taught all grades 7-12 and am in my fourth year of licensed teaching. Before I graduated, I had a couple years of experience working in different educational jobs. This included being a paraprofessional in both the elementary and high school setting. I have taught these classes: - 7th LA, 8th LA, 9th LA, 10th LA - 7th Reading - 7th Debate - Student Study Skills - 10-12 Creating Writing - 7-9 Journalism & Yearbook - 7-8 Digital Literacy & Keyboarding I have also taught in strictly middle schools as well as schools that were in towns so small that the entire school was grades 7-12 (hence, the myriad of experiences for being such a young teacher).

The posters are meant to either be decorative and hang on walls or be printed and offered to students as notes as they learn about ancient Greek mythology. Experience

Teaching style

One of my strong suits is student relationships and I break it down to the fact that my students know (sometimes it takes a while for them to realize) that I love them and care about them. These strong relationships have helped me to become good at keeping high achievers actively engaged while also engaging the low achievers and helping them reach their potential. I work hard to create a safe learning environment and once students know you care about them, they begin to care about what you have to say. I hope that years from now when they look back on my class, they'll remember feeling challenged and proud of themselves for all that they accomplished.

Awarded two years in a row for significant improvement in my students' end-of-year RISE test results from their previous year.

My own education history

I got a bachelor's degree in English Education with an emphasis in Creative Writing at Southern Utah University.

Additional biographical information

I'm a busy new mom of beautiful twin boys, a full-time teacher primarily of 8th grade at an excellent middle school, and a somewhat new dog mom. I love to create my own lesson plans, especially as I find my way in the educational world. I strive to make things that are interesting to students and engaging and just want to share that with other teachers. I hope these products work as well for others as they do for me. I only sell what my students love and what I have worked tirelessly on until it's something I can be proud of.
