Creative Writing High School: Nature Personification and Tone
If your students are struggling to tell the difference between attitude/tone and mood, this assignment will do the trick! Students get to hear the “tone” directly from the (famous) speakers. Then, by connecting to the aspect of nature that is being personified they are able to recognize their own mood based on the reading. Followed by an optional writing exercise in which to develop their own personified aspect of nature with attitude, they come to thoroughly understand the difference between
