Order of Operations Google Slides
These Order of Operation Task Cards are great for your students to work on individually, with a partner, or within a group. This activity can be printed OR you can use the Google Slide version of it, meaning that the students can digitally turn in their assignment to you.
Students should simplify the first problem and then insert their answer into the next problem, etc. They will continue plugging in their previous answer into each problem as they go.

One Step Equations Google Slides
This is a digital activity using Google Slides. This activity has 3 differentiated levels. They slowly get harder as you go. At the end of each level, students will come to a “Sum Em’ Up” page. Factoring Tic Tac Toe
This is a fun activity that incorporates a "game like" atmosphere in which they are practicing factoring skills and having fun, too!
It's better to do this with partners, because they will be taking turns. Each person chooses a problem to factor, and if they get it correct then they can either put an X or an O in that box. The first person to get four in a row wins (either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally).

Multi - Step Equations
This activity is great because it forces your students to analyze another person's work in order to decide if it is worked out correctly or not. If it's incorrect, then the student must fix the mistake. This activity is great to use individually or with a group of students. I usually have them work in groups, and they must decide together if it's right or wrong. Students bring up some great mathematical discussions, this way!

This is currently my twelfth year teaching high school mathematics. I have taught Algebra 1, Algebra 1 Honors, Integrated Math II, Geometry, Geometry Honors, Algebra 2, AP Statistics and IB Applications and Interpretations.
Teaching style
I am an enthusiastic leader with a passionate commitment to student development and the learning experience. I challenge my students daily by using innovative activities that address the diverse interests and needs of students. My teaching philosophy involves presenting information in a variety of ways and emphasizing relevance of class material to the world beyond the classroom. I also believe in motivating students by creating an engaging and challenging learning environment, including the use of technological devices in the classroom. When used appropriately, technology can be a powerful teaching tool in the classroom.

I have my Masters Degree in Instruction and Curriculum, and also my EdS in Educational Leadership. I've also been recognized as Teacher of the Year for 2026!

A large part of my classroom involves collaboration. Not only do I have my students collaborate with their peers, but I also enjoy collaborating with my colleagues and establishing quality relationships with my students and colleagues.
