Experience

This is currently my twelfth year teaching high school mathematics. I have taught Algebra 1, Algebra 1 Honors, Integrated Math II, Geometry, Geometry Honors, Algebra 2, AP Statistics and IB Applications and Interpretations.

Teaching style

I am an enthusiastic leader with a passionate commitment to student development and the learning experience. I challenge my students daily by using innovative activities that address the diverse interests and needs of students. My teaching philosophy involves presenting information in a variety of ways and emphasizing relevance of class material to the world beyond the classroom. I also believe in motivating students by creating an engaging and challenging learning environment, including the use of technological devices in the classroom. When used appropriately, technology can be a powerful teaching tool in the classroom.

I have my Masters Degree in Instruction and Curriculum, and also my EdS in Educational Leadership. I've also been recognized as Teacher of the Year for 2026!

Additional biographical information

A large part of my classroom involves collaboration. Not only do I have my students collaborate with their peers, but I also enjoy collaborating with my colleagues and establishing quality relationships with my students and colleagues.
