These scaffolded notes guide students to name all shapes, write the formulas and calculate the area of composite figures. There are plenty of examples for students to work independently as well as with their teacher. There is a challenge page that asks for area of a shaded region only.

This worksheet has 16 problems that review adding and subtracting rational numbers. There are 9 word problems and 7 computation problems. These questions focus on the common fractions (1/4, 1/2, 2/5, ect) that students will see on STAAR. I have students covert all fractions to decimals!
