I am a High School Science, Robotics and Engineering teacher in Klamath Falls Oregon. I have 18 year of experience teaching science and 3 years of teaching VEX EDR Robotics as well as 3 years of teaching Engineering Design.
This bundle includes the following - Gear Ratios Lecture - Gear Ratio Lecture notes fill in worksheet - Basic Gear Ratios worksheet and key - Advanced Gear Ratios worksheet and key - Gear box Exchange handout - visual guide to VEX motor gears. I keep a few laminated in my classroom for student reference. All of my items in TPT are no fuss. Just things I use in my VEX EDR Classroom. If you find any mistakes please let me know. Thank you!
This is a great beginner gear ratio worksheet. It does not teach gear ratios but would be great for students to do after you do a general lesson on gear ratios. It pairs with the Gears Lecture I offer. After they get these basics they can move on to the advanced gear ratio worksheet. Answer key is included
This is a COMPLETE BUNDLE OF VEX IQ PARTS LABELS. My robotics classroom was getting out of control and students were having a hard time finding parts. I made these labels to organize my parts. I suggest printing out the labels in color. Cutting them up, laminating them and then taping them onto your bins based on how you organize your parts. Because it's a google document you can scale the parts photos to meet the size of your storage. This particular file does not have a ton of labels. I plan
This digital download includes 3 pages that help students. 1- Identify battery issues with their V5 batteries 2- Pairing the V5 Joystick controller with the V5 Cortex 3 - Activating the V5 "Competition Switch" featured on the V5 Cortex I have these printed out and laminated in my classroom so students can quickly find solutions or refresh their memory for problem solving. I'm a regular classroom teacher so all of my downloads are no fuss and no frill.
This is a basic lecture for Gear Ratios in VEX EDR/V5 . All of my downloads are no frills and no fuss. They are just items I use in class that I'm trying to share with others. This lecture is 24 slides long. It explains how gears work, how to calculate a gear ratio (There are several ways/methods to do this. I teach this in the way I've found my high school students can understand and apply to their robots). Teachers would need a basic understanding of ratios, fraction simplification and gea

My students are using the VEXcode IQ Blocks with chromebooks this season. After answering numerous repitive questions I decided to make a reference book for my elementry teams. This manual is 21 pages long and describes every block within the program. It also details how to download and how to start programing. All of my items on TPT are no fuss. Just items I use in my own classes that I thought would be helpful to others. I've designed this manual to be downloaded from Google Drive as a PD
