Hyphens are hard to teach and can be even more difficult to remember. There are so many rules and exceptions and are just plain confusing at times. This PowerPoint takes the most commonly used instances and breaks it down in an easy to understand (did that need hyphens? LOL) way.

I use this spreadsheet to keep my own paper copy of attendance and tardies. Just copy and paste to add new worksheets for various periods or blocks depending on your needs. A Powerpoint/Google Slide with seven (7) seating chart options for up to 32 students. Editable to your room set up and number of students. Students roll a set of dice which corresponds to a numbered item in four separate categories: Character, Setting (Place), Time, and Situation/Challenge. Using whatever four items they get, students will write a story based on them. Product includes an interactive Powerpoint that can also be used as a Google Slide.
