About the store
Variety sums up my experience! I have been fortunate to have gained my 13 years of experience in both common core and non-common core states in grade levels ranging from preschool-4th. I have experience teaching in high poverty Title One schools as well as schools with large ESOL populations.I love working with others and have team taught inclusion classes as well as a general education multi-age 1st and 2nd grade class. While initially all that change was unsettling, it has helped me grow and refine my teaching tremendously!

Alternative Hundreds Board

This hundreds board from Look Out Learning uses numerals 0-99. Rows begin rather than end with multiples of 10. Useful for strengthening place value understanding with struggling elementary math students. a second board with numbers up to 119 is included as well which correlates to the common core expectation that first graders will be able to work with numbers through 120.

Teaching style

I love to make it meaningful! I jump at any opportunities for project based learning, inquiry, student choice, centers and stations, and collaborative learning. I am constantly on the lookout for ways to help my students make connections across the curriculum and to tie our learning to their personal interests.
