I graduated with my B.S. in Elementary Education in 2014. My student teaching experience was in kindergarten. Following graduation, I worked briefly as a teacher assistant before accepting my first full-time position as a second grade teacher. Welcome to the land of fact fluency! This year, I implemented something new to get my students to enjoy addition and subtraction fact fluency a bit more. I created this "fact of the week" packet for all teachers after I saw how excited and successful my students have been with addition and subtraction fact fluency. How to use: Students are given two dice. They are to roll the dice and add the two numbers. After adding the numbers, they color the answer. As an extension, I had my students write the equation in the shamrock with the sum. This is a kindergarten aligned activity for mathematics.
