About the store

Experience

I’m a certified special education teacher with over a decade of classroom experience, specializing in math instruction for upper elementary students who benefit from modified and differentiated learning materials. I’ve worked in both in-person and online settings, creating my own scaffolded math curriculum aligned to Common Core standards to meet the needs of students performing below grade level.

Teaching style

My teaching style is structured, supportive, and student-centered. I use clear routines and step-by-step visuals to guide learners, paired with hands-on practice and real-life examples. I believe all students can access rigorous math content when it’s broken down with intention, care, and aligned scaffolding. Many of my materials follow an “I Do, We Do, You Do” model for gradual release and student confidence.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Some of my proudest moments come from seeing students who once struggled with math light up with confidence after mastering a concept. I’ve mentored students through multi-year growth and watched them become leaders in the classroom. My classroom has been recognized for fostering student growth, positive behavior, and collaborative learning — even among students with significant learning challenges.

My own education history

I hold certifications in both elementary education and special education. Over the years, I’ve continued to expand my expertise through professional development in curriculum design, math intervention, and digital teaching platforms. I’m also trained in vertical alignment and have completed advanced coursework in teaching Algebra I to diverse learners.

Additional biographical information

I’m passionate about creating accessible, meaningful math materials that help every student feel capable and successful. Outside of teaching, I enjoy working on creative educational projects and learning new tech tools that support differentiated instruction. My resources are built with both students and busy teachers in mind — easy to implement, engaging, and aligned to standards.
