I have had 12 years of experience in a classroom with my focus on multiple subjects. In the last 4 years I have spent a lot of time perfecting my use of new reading strategies with an inclusion classroom.

I am sure that many will agree that just using one style leaves room for improvement. After all these years of teaching I have realized that my styles change according to the group I have. My favorite styles of teaching are using class discussions and student responses. I have a better understanding of what my students really know by the way they respond. I like having the students respond by making connections because it is the most authentic form of understanding. I know exactly what they are thinking and use their response to understand their mistakes as well, which make corrections and reteaching easier on me and the students.

Much like many of us who teach I am a busy mom of three and wish there were 10 of me to do everything I would like to do. I am guilty of taking on many projects but it is who I am and love to stay busy. A mind that keeps running will be sure to stay strong in my future...I hope?????
