About the store

Experience

I have been teaching English for over a decade in Southern Oregon. I try to promote reading as much as possible in my class and encourage my students to find books outside of the traditional canon in order to help them become lifelong readers. I have experience with the following classes: Freshman English, Sophomore English, Sophomore English Basic, Film as Literature, AP Language and Composition, and AP Literature and Composition.

Teaching style

I don't think I adhere to one specific teaching style. I try to incorporate a wide range of activities, learning styles, etc. into my teaching in order to reach as many students as possible. I try to treat my students as human beings first and foremost and make sure that they feel safe in my classroom.

My own education history

I now teach at the high school that I graduated from, which is a fun experience. I went to Western Oregon University for my Bachelors in Education (with a Secondary English focus) I went to Concordia University for my Masters in Education (with a Reading Specialist focus)

Additional biographical information

I know that teachers do not have a ton of extra cash to be throwing around. I really try to keep my prices reasonable while also considering my time that went into the resource. I only sell things that I actually use in my own classroom and look at TPT as a small side gig, not a way to make big bucks. I hope I can help you when you are needing a resource in your classroom! :)
