I am a huge proponent of using Comprehensible Input, Total Physical Response, teaching through stories, incorporating music, and peer-based activities as my main teaching strategies. I strive to encourage a highly communicative and receptive learning environment. Students work with their "vecinos" (neighbors) every class in pair-share and small group learning. We focus on 4 categories of learning: production, comprehension, discovery (culture), and habits of work. I introduce literacy and audios with native speakers early on so as to allow students to experience a multitude of input.
