This is a flow map I created to help students understand the steps they should be taking while solving a math word problem. It also helps them understand what they should be doing at each step. It's intended for the lower grades (K-2) but if you change around the wording, it can be used in the upper grades. It can be used as a math tool to help guide them through the word problem process.
It is not considered a "graphic organizer" but instead a thinking map. It's purpose is to help students
