The concept is pretty straightforward. Students solve a total of 9 problems with positive and negative whole numbers in order to get answers for a 'creature' design. They then do their best to draw out the creation.

This document is made with Pasco County numbers and is meant to show how positive numbers can represent income and negative numbers can represent bills or spending. Students complete the steps of making choices about their home, transportation, and even food budget.
