Help your students strengthen their understanding of degree and number of terms in a polynomial by playing "Go Fish!". This group activity uses polynomials with both one variable and multiple variables. It contains monomials, binomials and trinomials of degree zero up to 5.
Students practice arithmetic and geometric sequences by participating in a classroom "I have, who has" activity. Students practice calculating the common different and common ratio, writing the explicit rule for both an arithmetic and geometric sequence as well as writing the first four terms in a sequence given a rule. *This activity can also be completed individually or in small groups.
This classwide activity allows students to practice geometry vocabulary including line, plane, parallel, angle, vertex, similar figures, perimeter, segment, ray, perpendicular, congruent, acute, obtuse, volume and area. This activity includes a version with vocabulary descriptions in words and a separate version with images instead of words.
