Use this flyer to include a short biography, fun facts, favorite items and contact information for parents and students to view during events such as Meet and Greet or Open House! This file is formatted in a Word Document, allowing you to add onto it. Multiple color options are included (pastel rainbow, bright colors, and black and white).

Students will need to add fractions based off of the amount of pizza slices left in the pizzas. Most questions require the students to find a common denominator before adding.

The students will need to find the cost of buying a car with two different banks. Students will calculate the interest and balance of each car. There are five cars to choose from. Students will decide which car they want to purchase and choose the bank that gives them the best deal. After the students decide which car they would like to buy, they will need to calculate the monthly payment and write a check to the car dealership. Then, students will fill out a contract for their purchase.

This file includes visuals to help students understand the meaning of what a common denominator is and the steps to take when adding and subtracting fractions. My students are mostly visual learners and I find that when I use relatable objects or tasks, they seem to understand the concepts better.
