Experience

Teaching style
I don't believe there is any one most effective teaching style. While I am most comfortable lecturing, my teaching style is determined by the needs and responsiveness of my students. Every teacher has to balance this with how they best teach. Honestly, it is a perpetual work-in-progress. With that in mind, it is my goal to create quality teaching and learning materials that give my colleagues the flexibility to modify them to best suit their needs.
Awards & shining teacher moments
Multiple time teacher of the year nominee at my school. Unfortunately always the bridesmaid and never the bride. Honestly, just to be mentioned in the same breath as the teachers that ultimately won is a huge honor. The most important shining moments are those moments of validation when a student tells you or shows you that your efforts make a difference.
My own education history
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Economics as well as an MBA. So, naturally I have taught science for the last decade. I actually went back to school later in life to earn the necessary credits as my interests and passions changed with age and the world of science became more of an interest. I am 100% certain that my own academic history is still being written.
Additional biographical information
I am originally from Queens, NY, but I've lived in the Caribbean, North Carolina, and Orlando, Florida where I currently reside. I am a huge sci-fi buff, comic book nerd, and foodie.
