About the store
With over 20 years of classroom experience, I bring a deep understanding of student learning across grade levels. I began my teaching journey in California, where I taught 4th and 5th grades for two years before relocating to Las Vegas. There, I continued in upper elementary for six more years before transitioning to middle school, where I taught math for 13 years. In the 2025–2026 school year, I’ll be teaching middle school computer science, bringing together my passion for creativity, critical thinking, and student-centered learning. My resources are designed to be engaging, accessible, and grounded in real classroom experience.

Experience

With over 20 years of classroom experience, I bring a deep understanding of student learning across grade levels. I began my teaching journey in California, where I taught 4th and 5th grades for two years before relocating to Las Vegas. There, I continued in upper elementary for six more years before transitioning to middle school, where I taught math for 13 years. In the 2025–2026 school year, I’ll be teaching middle school computer science, bringing together my passion for creativity, critical thinking, and student-centered learning. My resources are designed to be engaging, accessible, and grounded in real classroom experience.

Teaching style

My teaching style is student-centered, relationship-driven, and grounded in clarity and care. I believe that all students can grow when they feel safe, seen, and supported. So, I prioritize strong classroom culture, high expectations, and scaffolded learning experiences. My lessons often include real-world connections, collaborative problem-solving, and opportunities for creativity. Whether I’m teaching elementary school, middle school math, or computer science, I strive to design meaningful experiences that build confidence, encourage critical thinking, and help students recognize their own brilliance.

My own education history

I earned my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Master of Education degree from the University of La Verne in California. After relocating to Las Vegas, I obtained my middle school mathematics licensure by passing the Praxis exam. To further expand my credentials, I completed coursework through Southern Utah University and Touro University Nevada, earning licensure to teach computer science at the middle school level.
