This performance task asks students to multiply, divide, compare fractions, tell time, add, subtract, and more. It is designed to help increase the stamina of students in preparation for the Smarter Balance Assessment performance task.

This task asks students to solve some constructed response questions involving division of unit fractions and whole numbers. Students will also multiply decimals and be asked to write a letter than explains mathematically why one sugar substitute is a better deal than another. Standards: 5.NF.7; 5.NF.7a; 5.NF.7b; 5.NF.7c Claim 2: Problem Solving Mathematical Practice 2: Reason abstractly and quantitatively

This task includes a variety of real-world questions (word problems) that involve multiplication and division, as well as asking students to write equations to represent a mathematical situation. Standards: 3.OA.1 through 3.OA.9

This task mimics the look of the Smarter Balanced Performance Task for 4th grade and asks students to answer DOK 1,2, and 3 level questions under the 4.MD.B.3 standard. Great to prepare our students for the SBAC.

Multiple-step and interdependent problems to target fractions for fifth grade test prep. DOK Level 3

In this task, students will be asked to solve a series of problems using the four operations with whole numbers and decimals to the hundredths. They will then need to create a plan for a purchase order. Standards: 5.NBT.6; 5.NBT.7 Claim 2: Problem Solving Mathematical Practice 2: Reason abstractly and quantitatively

This task involves multi-step and dependent questions that involve all basic operations and comparing unit fractions. It also asks students to identify and solve a real-world problem of not having enough of something.

5th grade Standards: 5.NF.B.6; 5.NF.B.7; 5.NF.B.7b Claim 3-Communicating and Reasoning Focus: multiplication and division of whole numbers and/or fractions, constructed response

This task asks students to answer real-world questions about a bakery using multiplication and division. The also must create two possible order scenarios to fit specific order details.
