I have been teaching all academic subject areas in 5th, 6th, and 7th grade since 1990. I am highly qualified in Social Studies and ELA. I earned my National Board Certification in Reading/Writing Language Arts. I am an educational presenter/Achievement Coach and a 5th grade teacher.

My teaching style includes a comfortable, yet structured atmosphere. Students are able to run most of the required routines on their own. The use of a one-on-one chrome books, a smart board, and various web-sites are a part of our daily routines. My students learn by experiencing rather than always just reading about various topics. Real life text is used for almost all of our activities.

I am a mother to a teenage boy and girl. They are my world! I love teaching and being able to use my creativity every day in order to reach each of my learners. I have kept a journal since 1990 in which my students have written me notes throughout each year. It is such a treasure, and reading through them put a smile on my face whenever I need one.
