I have been teaching 2nd grade for ten years now and I absolutely love it! Before teaching 2nd, I taught in a self-contained K-4 Emotionally Impaired Classroom for three years. Teaching style
I do the workshop models for reading, writing, and math. I teach a mini-lesson and then the kids work independently, in partners, and/or small groups to work on certain skills.
