Notes for Correlation Coefficient with practice questions for using calculator and group activity. Students think of candy they eat or find at the theatre, research their sugar content (in grams) and calories and find out what the relationship is between the two. Editable
This systems of equations project can be used with students in place of a formal test. Students are asked to formulate a system of three equations, determine reasonableness of solutions, and solve systems through elimination, substitution, and using matrices. Students are able to use their literacy skills to reflect on their learning and to describe steps in which they arrived at each answer using different methods. This project takes about one to two weeks to complete.
Students can discovery Triangle Sum Theorem by cutting the triangle out and folding to see that all the vertices make a line and therefore are 180 degrees. Students can also use protractors and rulers to discover the meaning of the names of triangles by sides and angles
Use the AngLegs manipulative for students to determine whether lengths of a side make a triangle. Can use straws or different lengths of paper strips as well

Exponential Functions notes introduces Algebra I or II students to exponential functions and their key features. This includes two examples at the end for students to graph and discuss the transformation from the parent function.
I love using this Bingo Board in math because it allows students to build their own Bingo Board and it gives them room to work out each problem. So, you have a board and a worksheet all in one. Show students the answers beforehand and allow them to fill out their own board. Then, show a question at a time, give them time to work the problem and choose the correct answer. Good luck!
Students are asked to write quadratic functions in all three forms, vertex, standard, and factored using the vertex and a point. Students then graph the function and determine a reasonable solution.
This set of notes introduces students to Log Functions as the inverse of Exponential functions, identifies key features, and practices transforming Log functions from the parent function.
Are you compatible? Students discover what the correlation coefficient means by seeing how compatible they are with a partner or classmate. Then, students will create a top ten of their own and see if they are compatible. Practice questions on the last page. Editable.
I have used this product with on level and advanced Algebra II students to review factoring GCF. It allows students to visually see like terms and common factors. You can use this with a deck of cards or a printable deck. You could play this with two people or as many as you would like.

Experience
I’ve been in education for fifteen years as a teacher, instructional coach, curriculum writer, and administrator.
Teaching style
My teaching style is based on discovery and project based learning; I also appreciate a good structured note-taking method as well. I see what my students need and adjust delivery based on that. I love to see students who struggle thrive and students who find it easy challenged! I love creating an environment for trying math and building confidence over time.
