I have taught a variety of science subjects, from earth science to biology, as well as many levels of ELA. I have continually adapted her methods to meet the evolving needs of my students who come to me with a wide variety of learning styles, abilities and socioeconomic status.

Teaching style

My teaching style is interactive and student-centered. I emphasize inquiry-based learning, encouraging my students to explore concepts through hands-on experiments and group projects. By fostering critical thinking and collaboration, I help them connect their learning to real-life situations, making whatever content I am teaching relatable and exciting.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Throughout my career, I’ve been honored with several accolades, including the "Excellence in Teaching" award from my school district. One of my proudest moments was when my students won first place at a regional science fair for their innovative project on renewable energy. I love celebrating my students' successes, both big and small, and I often highlight their achievements during class.

Additional biographical information

I’m a dedicated educator and proud parent of two wonderful children, with another on the way! When I’m not busy in the classroom, I love diving into a good book (feel free to add me on Goodreads!), organizing my space, and hitting the trails for a run. I cherish relaxing evenings with friends over a glass of wine, sharing stories and laughter. Life is a unpredictable, and I’m excited for all the new chapters ahead!
