Magic in Primary

I created these so my first graders could write a neat and organized thank you letter for our Donor's Choose projects. I have put four templates in for you to choose from. There is a simple version for pre-k and kindergarten. The second version is designed for first grade+ with more writing space. I also added one without picture space for upper grades. I hope you enjoy these!

I use these letters to send home with student's to practice their sight words. The words are based off of the Fry's Sight Word Lists. There are ten words per page. I have included ideas for parents to practice with their child. Once the student has mastered reading the words, the parent signs it and sends it back in. Easy peasy! I've also included sheets for you to track each student.

I use these to show my student's growth in our classroom. Each child gets their own pennant to decorate/color. I do this after the first Map test we take in the fall. You can keep them in their desks if you prefer not to hang in your room. Our school wants them up to celebrate their growth. You can punch holes on each side at the top and run yarn through it or hang them individually.

I love to send home positive notes each day. However, I always seem to run out of time. This upset me and my students. I made these little note to solve my problems. I print them on colored paper so they stand out and are more special. Sign your name at the bottom before you make copies! All you have to do now is write in the student's name, date and check the box! Easy peasy!

I use this rubric to score my students Centers/Daily 5 work. It is a fast easy way to create a grade and to communicate to parents how their student is doing. I staple all the work together with this on top. It is available in English and English/Spanish.

This form will help organize your thoughts and grades for each student during conferences. It is a nice summary for the parents to take home as well. My parents love the "Next Steps" portion, helps them to remember what they can do to help their child at home.

Do your students ask to go to the bathroom all day long? I created this bathroom sign and passes to help control the number of interruptions. I sign I printed, folded in half and laminated. I hang it on my white board so students know if they can go to the bathroom or not. The passes I printed, laminated and cut out. Each student receives ten per week.
