Equivalent Fractions Find It!

Students need to quickly find and identify equivalent fractions and fraction math vocabulary in a fast paced math game. This is a game that one of my students asked me to create. They even play it during indoor recess!

Equivalent Fraction Spoons

Spoons is an exciting math center activity game. Players need to match 4 equivalent fractions and not be the last to grab a spoon!

Decimal Spoons

Your students will love learning about decimals when they play this game. Students will need to match decimals with a picture, fraction, percent, and word form while trying to beat the competition!

Beat Your Teacher

Beat Your Teacher is an incredibly fun way to engage your students in understanding Place Value. I use the dice on my Smart Board to roll for the numbers to add to the chart. When all of the places are filled I call out one number at a time on my list and add to the suspense.

About the store

Experience

I have been an educator for 20 years. For the past 7 years I have worked at a STEM school. I started teaching kindergarten In 2000. I have also taught first, third, and now am currently in fifth grade. I teach 2 sections of math, but also teach social studies and science with an emphasis on technology.

Teaching style

I love to have fun while teaching! Some lessons can be so boring that I almost bore myself! I do a great deal of teaching math through playing games and centers. I love how it reinforces the things I have taught during the week and how easy it is to pre-teach some challenging topics in small groups.

My own education history

I graduated from SUNY Albany with a BA in Communications. I graduated from Hofstra University with an Masters Degree in Elementary Education (preK-6). I also have a degree in ESL from St. John's.

Additional biographical information

I have 2 wonderful teenage boys and 2 amazing dogs. Piper is a rescue pittie with 3 legs. Daisy is a boxer/hound that we adopted through North Shore.
