My Teaching Philosophy
I believe children learn best through connection, play, meaningful experiences, and supportive relationships. My teaching style is child-centered, practical, and rooted in the belief that every child can learn and grow when provided with the right support, encouragement, and opportunities.
As a Speech-Language Pathologist and educator, I strive to create learning experiences that are engaging, functional, and connected to everyday life. Rather than focusing solely on isolated skills, I emphasize helping children apply what they learn in meaningful situations at home, school, and in their communities.
I value a strengths-based approach that recognizes each child's unique abilities while supporting areas of growth. I believe learning should be positive, encouraging, and confidence-building. Children deserve to feel successful, capable, and understood.
My teaching incorporates play-based learning, literacy-rich experiences, hands-on activities, executive functioning supports, and family involvement whenever possible. I believe parents, teachers, and therapists are most effective when they work together as a team to support a child's development.
I am especially passionate about creating practical resources that simplify learning for busy families and educators. My goal is to provide tools that are easy to implement, evidence-informed, and focused on helping children build communication, language, literacy, social-emotional, and executive functioning skills.
Above all, I believe learning is about more than academic achievement. It is about helping children develop confidence, resilience, curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
