About the store

Experience

Sonya has served as a school librarian since 2008. Previously, she served as the Corpus Christi ISD Office of Instructional Technology's Integration Specialist. She has been teaching since 1989.

Teaching style

I strive to help each student create new goals and support them by sharing ideas of metacognition. Motivation, self-control and building new habits are in the forefront of those conversations we share.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Selected as a classroom teacher in 2001, to train district teachers for the Intel Teach to the Future Program sponsored by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. My passion has been centered around using technology as a tool. Received an award from the International Society of Technology Education (ISTE) for a poster demonstration which used MSExcel as an interactive game for students to practice vocabulary which was published as: “Crayons4Teachers Integrated Applications with Bloom’s Taxonomy and Gardener’s Multiple Intelligences (2003)”

My own education history

Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies from the University of Rhode Island in 1985 and a Master’s of Science in Educational Administration from Texas A&M Corpus Christi in 2003.

Additional biographical information

My goal is to make $1 on all the products I sell. All my product are 20 pages. It's time to find more product at a more affordable rate. I have figured in order to make $1 you need to sell at $3 each. I will adjust my price after I sell my first 60 items. Join me, let's change how we help each other.
