Students will use the graphic organizer to include direct evidence from the play, a translation of the text into their own words and an explanation of their evidence as it supports their argument about Juliet. Students can either use this as an independent class assignment, and they can also use this as a preparation for a fully class debate.
This worksheet helps guide students through Act Two of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. They include questions from the text, personal reactions, significant quotes with justification and consider if characters deserve the reader's sympathy. This can be given at the beginning of Act Two or in the middle when students finish the reading on their own time.
This graphic organizer asks students to synthesize what is causing Brick to remain mentally trapped and unable to admit the truth to himself and others. Students will gather evidence from throughout the entire play from various characters to consider what is causing Brick to stay trapped in his marriage and alcoholism. Students will consider societal factors and family expectations to draw their conclusions.
