This pack contains a complete lesson where students can design their own mooncake to celebrate Mid Autumn Festival! There are many types of mooncakes (both sweet and savoury), and they come in all shapes and sizes. Every year, restaurants, hotels, and food companies compete to come up with new and attractive mooncake recipes. In this activity, students make a paper mooncake which opens up. This pack contains a complete lesson where students create their own “time machine” showing a favourite character from a book, TV show, or game going to Ancient Rome. The purpose of the activity is to get students to imagine what daily life might be like, and to pick an aspect of Ancient Roman culture to interact with. I originally used this with a P2 class but it is suitable for a wide range of ages. I recommend bringing books or handouts which show examples of clothing, architecture, weaponry,
