This pack contains an SOR aligned board game for practicing b/d/g/p/q reversal with nonsense words (CV, CVC, and qu + VC), designed for 1-1 practice or small groups. The premise of the game is that players are visting a Martian Café. For the good of all humans everywhere, they must order their food in Martian (i.e. nonsense words). This pack contains a 13 page fully illustrated book designed for older children with reading difficulties (or for whom English is a second language) which teaches the difference between the different phonemes associated with the “th” digraph. I have used the OpenDyslexic font to support dyslexic readers. I started creating these books because I was frustrated by the lack of options which felt appropriate for older kids (not too babyish!) and actually looked fun and appealing (not too dry!). The

My specialty area is participatory design. I like to make STEAM resources for younger learners which engage their senses on multiple levels and provoke critical thinking.

I have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science with a minor in Education, an MSc in Artificial Intelligence, and an MRes in Design.
