I am a professional designer and researcher working in higher education. I started to turn my experience to primary education after having children who are neurodivergent and have some learning difficulties. It seemed so difficult to find the specific tools that I needed that felt fun and not like "learning"!
This pack contains materials for a Science of Reading multisensory approach for older children with reading and writing difficulties to learn about the differences between lowercase letters b and d. I created this because I found it almost impossible to find materials which felt fun and not too babyish. The main component is a fully illustrated book packed with multisensory approaches for remembering each letter, all wrapped up in a fun story with silly characters. I have also used the OpenDysle

This pack contains a 13 page fully illustrated book designed for older children with reading difficulties (or for whom English is a second language) which teaches the difference between the different phonemes associated with the “th” digraph. I have used the OpenDyslexic font to support dyslexic readers. I started creating these books because I was frustrated by the lack of options which felt appropriate for older kids (not too babyish!) and actually looked fun and appealing (not too dry!). The
