Visual Math-Add&Subtracting Fractions with Unlike Denomiators
This board teaches students how to add/subtract fractions when the denominators don't match. The board is so versatile that it can also be used to compare fractions, multiply fractions, etc. Students learn how to take shortcuts too. To assemble: 1) Print on color printer 2) Trim edges 3) Attach to cardstock (this will help with keeping them long lasting) 4) Laminate (so students can erase using a dry erase pen/eraser)

Experience
I have over 20 years teaching experience.
Teaching style
I believe everyone should play to their strengths. In Math, my strength is making the steps visual so students can work independently.
In English, my strength is small group instruction. For that, students work in a variety of groups: Learning groups (even ability groups), Discussion (mixed ability groups), and Work (random groups). I also have students work in pairs a lot and Think-Pair-Share is used in instruction.

I have a Masters in Education, Professional Level Certification, and am dual certified in English Language Arts and Special Education.
