At Makerpedia, we combine real classroom experience with creative educational design to support teachers and learners around the world. Our work is rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and lifelong learning—and shaped by years of hands-on experience in education, instructional design, and creative media.
Today, our family is living and learning across borders. We bring together perspectives from international education, elementary classrooms, and home-based learning to create resources that are practical, engaging, and classroom-ready.
About Tess
I am a former school leader turned stay-at-home mom and full-time educational content creator, with a background in education, curriculum design, and media creation. I previously served as the Founding School Director of an international online school, where I led curriculum development, ed-tech integration, policy design, and school-wide systems that supported inclusive, student-centered learning.
Through Makerpedia, I now focus on creating high-quality educational resources for teachers and students, blending creativity with structure. My work is heavily influenced by STEAM education, digital design, and emerging tools like generative AI—always with a focus on making learning accessible, engaging, and meaningful.
In addition to educational resources, I bring experience in branding and media design, having partnered with nonprofits, startups, and mission-driven organizations to help them communicate their message clearly and creatively.
Most importantly, I’m a mom of three incredible girls. Parenting shapes everything I create—I understand the realities of learning at home and in the classroom, and I design resources that support real children, real teachers, and real lives.
