About the store
Differentiation equals success for all. Not every student learns at the same rate and has the same abilities. Learning can occur at many different levels, and it is vital that all students grow as critical thinkers, problem solvers, and learners. I offer different levels of tasks and assessments to ensure success for all students and make myself available to help in any way possible. I will continue to research and create new and better ways of allowing my students to reach their full potential and am always seeking innovative ways to help students succeed in my classroom. Not only do I want them to be successful, but I want them to enjoy learning along the way. I model the importance of education by constantly furthering my education as well. I am proud to have earned a marketing degree, an early childhood education degree, a middle grades education degree, a master’s degree in early childhood education, a specialist degree in curriculum and instruction, and my gifted endorsement.

This set of real world task cards includes twelve different situations that are presented where the students will use percentages to calculate both scenarios to help them decide which is mathematically better. This is a great activity to get students up and moving around the room. The task cards can be printed out and posted around the room. Students can then randomly go to problems to solve. Going in a random order allows students to move at their own pace.

Find the Error Activities for the Year - 7th Grade Math End of Grade Test Review

This is a book of all of my 7th grade Find the Error activities. In these activities, students are asked to analyze problems that have been answered incorrectly, find the mistake, and work the problem correctly. By analyzing work, students are acquiring a much deeper understanding of the concept. In my classroom, I have the students complete the activity individually and then discuss their solutions with their group. If there is an inconsistency in the group solutions, they look at the answ

Find the Error - Differentiated Solving Equations

This is an activity that I created for my students to find the mistake in the equation that has been solved incorrectly. I used common errors when creating the solutions to help them see the mistakes commonly made. There are two different levels of activities so that you can differentiate the lesson. I had the students work alone to solve the problems first, and then share with their groups. If there was any discrepancy, they looked in the answer folder on their tables to see the correct answe

The Murder of Al Gebra: an equation murder mystery

This is a murder mystery that groups must solve using clues that they earn by solving equations. It is a TON of fun as they practice solving one step, two step, and multistep equations as well as writing equations from words using the meaning of clue words. (Download my free clue words poster to go along with this activity. It will come in handy!) I have been creating activities to integrate literacy and math.
