Print this "GEMA" scaffold to print or share with your students G- Grouping Symbols with images included E- Exponents with examples included M- Multiplicative operations (this helps prevent students from getting "stuck" on the misconception to "multiply then divide") A- Additive operations (similarly to the above, this helps prevent students from getting "stuck" on the misconception to "add then subtract")

As students finish working, show mastery of a topic, another way to solve problems, or have great confidence in a skill, they have the opportunity to be a Peer Tutor. Peer tutors wear "Peer Tutor" badges, as well as sign up on a board displayed in the classroom. Additionally, students get participation credit for being a peer tutor.
