A GREAT review for Order of Operations without exponents. I use it with my remedial middle school math class. It still has enough rigor to keep it challenging and yet not so hard that struggling math students give up. It is aligned to the new Texas TEKS. Includes whole numbers, decimals, and add, subtract, multiply, & dividing integers.
A great review for central tendency. Wonderful resource for finding mean, median, mode, and range. Also has questions about finding a missing number when you know the average. Includes whole numbers, integers, and decimals. A great review for getting the "thinking juices" flowing!
I know this is a much needed skill in middle school math! This sheet involves reducing fractions and getting both repeating and non repeating decimals as answers. A fun quick way to see who has got it and who needs some extra help.
A great 8th grade or Algebra 1
equations paper. It makes equations fun without intimidation!! My students saw it on my desk today and BEGGED if they could do it.
Exponents are a skill that is necessary in middle school. This activity includes solving whole numbers, integers, decimals, and fractions with positive and negative exponents. GREAT practice!
A great way of reviewing how to convert fractions to decimals. You can use these as task cards or assignment. This is a GREAT resource for those who struggle with math concepts because it only has 4 fractions to put in order for each card. It also includes problems that have an element of rigor that students are required to develop to be successful in mathematics.
A great resource for teaching struggling math students about Central Tendency. It is 100% new TEKS aligned. It has just enough rigor to make it a challenge without students giving up! Can use as work sheet or Task Cards. My students LOVE the task cards.
This is a game that pairs 2 students to "speed" or "slap" the card after they solve the problem. The one who hits the card first with the correct answer wins the point. If you hit the card with the incorrect answer you lose the point. I have also built in a "SUPER" or "BONUS" round. You can change the rules to rounding the answer to the tenths place. I know my students ALWAYS need practice rounding. My students love to get white boards and Expo markers out and play this game! It's great fo
A wonderful way of teaching how to get a fraction of a whole number! You can use these as task cards or as an assignment. This is a SUPER resource for those who struggle with math concepts because it adds the element of a visual aid. It also includes BONUS problems that include the rigor that is essential for developing skills in mathematics.
A great activity for students to do! It includes combining like terms, fractions, and decimals while solving for the variable X. It includes and answer sheet/ color sheet so that students can check their answers.
A great way of practicing putting fractions in order from least to greatest and greatest to least. This review includes ordering improper fractions, mixed numbers, and fractions that can be reduced.
