Additional biographical information

For the past 30 years, I have held positions that connect education and led to school improvement in five different countries. My skills set has allowed me to work across subject areas with various curriculums to improve student attainment for more than 20 years. I believe students should be independent life-long learners who are actively engaged in construction of new meaning within their own context. I believe in a student-centered learning environment where students play an active role in their own learning. My aim is to empower teachers to maximize individual student performance, inspiring students’ interest in technology and instilling a sense of self-worth among all student. I believe that problem solving forms the basis for the application of mathematical skills which promotes students understanding of mathematics. I encourage teachers to create a safe environment where students would be more confident to take risks and be creative. Throughout my career I have dedicated to each of these pursuits, as my enclosed resume will attest.
