Making Middle School Learning FUN

This is a template for playing a collaborative game to practice or review concepts. It can be used in any subject area. Students work in teams to complete tasks that earn them a spot on the board. Each spot on the board is worth a hidden amount of points. Teams don't know how many points they are earning until the end when the amounts are revealed. This means that groups who complete two tasks correctly could win the game over a team who completed 7 tasks correctly, making the activity equitable

Get your students' brains going with this spin on traditional Pictionary! The game is played the same as Pictionary, only objects are drawn as fractions of themselves. Example: draw 2/4 of a monkey.

Give your students the chance to practice their understanding of fractions through this action packed, fun game of Spoons! (Spoons not included in download). The game is played like the traditional game of Spoons, except the four of a kind players are collecting are different categories of fractions. Example: you may collect the title card "Improper Fractions", along with 3 cards each with an improper fraction on it.
