Making Middle School Learning FUN

This covers each of the vocabulary words from Illustrative Mathematics 6th Grade Unit 1. It is broken down by lesson, teaches the new vocabulary word and then provides an opportunity for students to practice the word. If the word shows up again later in the unit, there are slides dedicated to reviewing the word.

This is a template for playing a collaborative game to practice or review concepts. It can be used in any subject area. Students work in teams to complete tasks that earn them a spot on the board. Each spot on the board is worth a hidden amount of points. Teams don't know how many points they are earning until the end when the amounts are revealed. This means that groups who complete two tasks correctly could win the game over a team who completed 7 tasks correctly, making the activity equitable
