This is the book my students still talk about years later. George Washington Carver- Heroes of History by Janet & Geoff Benge. Although it is nonfiction, it is a high interest narrative style biography that draws the students into the story. Within each sentence, key words such as objective and poem are underlined. Who, what, select, and how type words are in bold. I compiled and organized these questions so that I would stop using the same type of questions over and over again when creating assessments.
