My name is Brittany, and I am a first-grade teacher in Minnesota. I am going into my 5th year of teaching! I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and am currently pursuing my Master's in Literacy Instruction with a K-12 Reading Endorsement. I love all things literacy - so you will find a lot of that on my page!

Walking into my classroom is a calm and peaceful experience. We love a good sensory video playing on the SmartBoard during work time, accompanied by classical or calming music in the background! I teach with half of my lights off during the day, and I have a lavender oil defuser going the entire time my students are in my room! I am definitely a "Type A " teacher! I am a huge advocate of playtime in my classroom! At the end of the day, my students are 6 and 7 years old. To me, playtime is just as beneficial as reading and writing at this stage of life. They are learning social skills, manners, and effective communication through play. We love STEAM toys in my room! I like to incorporate brain breaks and movement into my lessons whenever possible. We also love to sing in 1st grade! Anytime we can turn something into a song, we do. It helps with my little one's retention!

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, with a focus on grades K-6. I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Literacy Instruction with a K-12 Reading Endorsement. I also have my CAREIALL certification. My school also implements the Ron Clark Academy style of teaching - go, team Isibindi! I was fortunate enough to visit Atlanta, Georgia, and see this school in person!

My Teachers Pay Teachers store has been open for 2 years! This is all very new and exciting to me! I enjoy sharing my resources with other educators to help them use and implement them in their classrooms. I strive to create resources that are easy to use, easy for students to understand, and aesthetically pleasing. I have a lot to learn and will probably be modifying products and listings along the way. I ask for patience and understanding!
