Teaching style

My teaching style is definitely one that encourages pupil participation. I believe that in order to learn, you need to be active. Think, ask, talk, discuss, try and question. I also believe in the power of a friendly and no nonsense classroom management style.

Awards & shining teacher moments

The Norwegian educational system doesn't operate with honors/awards for teachers. Our recognition comes from the pupils and their parents, not to mention colleagues. :-)

My own education history

I attended Bergen University College, Norway, and their study programme Teacher Education and Training 1-7. My degree was on the topic assessment for learning (as opposed to assessment of learning). The last 10 years I have been an author in the field of education.
