I have been teaching middle school math for 18 years. I taught many years using Engage NY, so the rigor is very high and I would use lots of interactive notebook entries to help scaffold. When classroom teaching I specialized in interactive notebook entries to support learning, and fun ways for scholars to practice their skills. I am now a math interventionist and focus on creating work to target specific misconceptions and struggles, while keeping things fun.
This is a foldable that we used as an interactive notebook entry for adding and subtracting decimals. This is taught in the 5th and 6th grade. Product includes foldable with steps, and photos as an exemplar for your own.

This is an interactive notebook entry we used about what to do when you are using long division, and you get a reminder. It shows (using color coded directions) how to add a decimal and zeros, and gives directions about how far to take it out. For our class scholars divide until the quotient ends, or they find a repeating decimal, or in the case of an irrational quotient, they hit 3 decimal places. This document would be very easy to edit for your own class needs.

Your purchase comes with the foldable pictured above, a key with answers in red is included in the document. I found the answer key with red answers is good for students that struggle to take notes, I have them complete the foldable with us, but they use the red one in their notebook to ensure accuracy and completion. File is easy to edit if you want to change wording or problems.
We used this as additional practice for Module 2 in Engage NY for 5th grade. This document provides 34 practice problems. Each practice problem requires scholars to find the value of the expression, and either create an expression from words or describe an expression with words. This document would also be great to introduce different uses for parentheses (do this first, multiply), and math vocabulary (double, triple, quadruple, sum, difference, product, quotient, expression, value of an express
