Pizza makes everything fun! Students will match up pizza slices that show the same number, assembling 5 different pizzas. For example, one pizza has 2, 2 pennies, 2 tally marks, the word two, 5-3, and 2 cubes.
When all pizzas are complete students will be able to record one pizza and create one of their own.
Everyone loves to play go fish, so why not play it with long and short vowels?! Students will be able to practice long and short vowel recognition with a familiar game.
Each student will get 5 cards, and place the rest in the middle. Each card either has a picture or a word on it, such as long I. The goal for each student is to match a picture card with the correct word card. Students will ask each other for either picture cards or word card. Once they have a pair they set them down. The

Great practice of homographs (words with more than one meaning)! Students will match up the holly berry to the correct holly leaves. Each berry cluster has at least 2 leaves to match it, some even have 3. Can be used as a practice after a mini lesson or a center.
To use, print holly leaves on red card stock, leaves on green card stock and laminate.
Great for homophone practice and review! Have students pick a hare, read the sentence and select the correct homophone. Recording sheet is also included.
