About the store

Experience

I tutored for the first time in 2009 but I started teaching kids in 2012 (:

Teaching style

I am a hands on kind of teacher! I love activities, songs, and random logical connections to help my students remember things! While teaching Pre-k/kindergarten I love activities that rely on pretend play and that challenge my students. They are usually entertained throughout the subjects I am teaching (and you all know how short the attention span of a toddler can be! ha!) Please feel free to message me if you have any questions!

Awards & shining teacher moments

Winner Board Game on the SBGames 2015 (Brazilian symposium): Revira Volta: An educational game that teaches History for 6th grade!

My own education history

I finished my bachelors in 2016 back in Brazil and my masters in 2018 back in Utah/USA.

Additional biographical information

I am a mom and designer. I have worked in educational video games for years (and I have been a nanny and also a teacher when I was younger!). I am from brazil and I love creating vector art and making fun activities with my kid! Recently I chose to stay at home with my daughter for a little while to watch her grow closer to me before she heads to public school. That's when it hit me: why not keep up with my blog (www.mamaishere.com) and put some time and effort into awesome material for children while I teach my daughter too?! (And guess what? My daughter is LOVING this ride, she is having a blast as a tester for each one of the products!) Thank you for stopping by, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your visit (: Follow me on Instagram and Facebook for more activity ideas: @mamaishere2021
