Teaching style
My teaching style is highly visual and hands-on! Because of my architecture background, I believe children learn best when they can build, create, and see how things fit together. I focus on combining art with science and fine motor practice. Instead of standard fill-in-the-blank worksheets, I love designing interactive crafts—like realistic cut-and-paste activities—that keep little hands busy and make learning fun and accessible.
Awards & shining teacher moments
As a homeschooling mom, my biggest "awards" are the everyday lightbulb moments with my four children! There is nothing quite like designing a new hands-on science or art activity from scratch and watching my kids get completely absorbed in it. Knowing that the resources I hand-draw at my own table are now helping other teachers and parents bring that same joy to their learning spaces is my absolute proudest achievement.
My own education history
I graduated with a degree in Architecture! While I don't design buildings these days, that education deeply shaped how I create educational resources. It taught me the importance of proportion, realistic detail, and how to break down complex structures (like insect anatomy!) into physical pieces that children can easily understand and assemble themselves.
Additional biographical information
I am a stay-at-home mom living in a small town with my wonderful family. When I am not homeschooling my kids or hand-drawing new resources for my shop, you can usually find me baking fresh bread and cookies, working on my digital art, or spending time outside. We also raise our own backyard chickens, which are a constant source of inspiration, learning, and entertainment for our family!
