Teaching style

As a preschool teacher, my teaching style is inspired by the Montessori philosophy—encouraging independence, curiosity, and hands-on learning. I believe children thrive in environments where they are respected, given choices, and guided at their own pace. My goal is to create a calm, nurturing space where little learners feel empowered to explore, discover, and grow with confidence.

My own education history

My journey into early childhood education began after 14 years of working in the health field, where I developed a deep passion for caring for others. That passion led me back to school to pursue my Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Before that, I earned my Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, which gave me a strong foundation in supporting young children’s growth and development. This career change has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m proud to bring both compassion and experience into the classroom every day.

Additional biographical information

Outside of the classroom, I’m a proud mom of six amazing kids who keep life full of love, laughter, and adventure. Being a mother has deeply shaped my understanding of child development and the importance of patience, flexibility, and connection. My personal and professional worlds often overlap, and I draw daily inspiration from both as I support and guide young learners.
